  1. A bear is a large MAMMAL with a heavily built
  2. body, short powerful limbs, and a very short 
  3. tail. Bears breed once a year, producing one 
  4. to four cubs. In northern regions they 
  5. hibernate, and the young are born in the 
  6. winter den. They are found mainly in North 
  7. America and Northern Asia.
